Yes... this sounds definitely exciting! But which version am I supposed to install on my Windows, Linux or Mac box? For what I can none of these 3 versions include a video calls facility :-/ Am I missing something?

Any chance of version 4 for Linux desktop with video? Nice to use the N800 video calls to Linux desktop.

I finally manage to recieve video but sound is not working.
the person can hear me and see my video, but I cannot hear them.
I know the its beta, but is there a workaround for this.
my router is linksys running dd-wrt.
The individual i tested out the video chat with has the same firmware on his router. |

| We should have the Gizmo Project 4.0 Beta release for Windows available this week and Mac early next week (if not sooner). Keep an eye out for a new category called: Gizmo Project 4.0 - Beta Release. We appreciate you trying out the beta releases and giving us your feedback! |

Wow!
I just did some calls with 4.0.0.82 on N800s. No audio, frequent crashes, but... The video is WAY better than Nokia's own internet call app. Good framerate, and how it looks in preview is actually how it looks on the other N800!!! Amazing!
I can't wait for desktop releases and working audio!
It would be sweet if this worked with nokia's existing app, or ichat, or any other video call apps, but obviously from the quality a different video codec or transport than nokia used must be in play here. And Gizmo Project just crashed again when i called it from nokia's rtcomm beta 
Too bad the source is closed, or I'd test this more on other platforms.
Despite being closed, I congratulate the gizmo devs on again doing what nokia wouldn't: first, landline calling on 770 (STILL no way but gizmoproject!), and now (or next week) video calling from N800 to desktop computers. Keep up the good work!

Great job. But what about Linux? Shouldn`t it be pretty much just an intel-compiling of the N800 version? |
